The film will have its scheduled March 9 release, which we all are waiting on!

This will probably be the best science-fiction film in 2009, maybe for the last few years. Sci-fi has been vanishing slowly from the theaters, which I personally hate. And with only garbage like the new version of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL coming out, it's not fun...

But hey! WATCHMEN is coming, and it's coming on strong! I have big hopes for this feature, and I am sure it will be something truly special.

Watch this space for more info as we have it!

Insurance Discussion (and Benjamin Button)

I stumbled upon a new website, an insurance forum for insurance discussion, which might be a bit too new at the moment, but with more users and more discussions, this could be something really interesting.

I've always wondered (also posted about it in the forum, by the way) if it's possible to buy insurance from other countries. It would certainly be pretty interesting to live in for instance, EU and buy insurance from a large American corporation. Or vice versa. Is this possible? If not - why not?

Some USA insurance companies have far better deals than the European counterparts. And it might be possible to get much more money after an accident than when using a "normal" Europan company.

This would of course also be great during travel. If I want to go to Asia - can I go from Europe and use an American travel insurance? Would be great! No more worries about that lost bag!

Either way, this insurance forum might be great to keep your eyes on. Maybe I'll get my questions answered there, and if so, I'll be posting here to tell you all about it.

On another note, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, seems to be the LITTLE BIG MAN of the 2009! Check out the trailer and see for yourself. The sequel was not written by her - and not as good either.

Lets hope that the new version is going to be a true classic, just as the first one was! ROMANCING THE STONE was one of the 80's real hit-films, and really provided everything a movie from the happy 1980's should have: Danny deVito, djungles, a girl in distress, a handsome Michael Douglas and lots of bad guys portraited in a black/white fashion.
CLOVERFIELD | Rage of the Gods

Well, this blog is NOT going to be about Cloverfield - BUT it will be about entertainment, advertising, new products and a mish-mash of different stuff.

Of course, I WILL put up a lot of information about any Cloverfield sequels and any other cool gossip I hear! I'll tell you all about it...

So, who am I? Well, just say I'm "HUD", who is guiding you through the djungle of stuff that's out there. In this first post I'm going to give you a small review of CLOVERFIELD - the movie we all love!

When I first saw the trailer I thought this was going to be just another monster film. I had recently watched the Korean GWOEMUL (THE HOST, 2006), and I thought Cloverfield would be a bad rehash of that - and combinating Blair Witch at the same time. BAD combination, in my opinion.

Well, I was wrong. Where THE HOST is a wonderful movie, it shows the monster threat in a completely different way. It's not even possible to compare these two films.

CLOVERFIELD goes to extremes when it comes to the epic feel - and that's good! I thought the use of hand-cameras and simple home-cams would limit the feeling of "big" in this film, but actually, it's totally the opposite.

The actors are fairly good, and mainly do good work. The first scenes are a little bit too much "teen drama" and somewhat corny, but it doesn't really matter, since we go for a fast-paced action journey from there.

I simply loved the climbing-in-the-sky-scraper-scene, and I very much liked the ending.

CLOVERFIELD gives you what many other films don't: a feeling that there is more than what was told and that you actually want to know it!

We want to see what happens next, what happened in other cities at the same time, what it really was that was happening, etc. We want to know all these things.

It's a great film, and simply beautiful entertainment. 7/10 from me. More if it hadn't been for some of the digital effects and the somewhat corny start.
