Terminator Salvation: new trailer out now!
The new trailer for TERMINATOR: SALVATION is a real bombastic piece of action! Brilliant stuff.

If the film itself is this good, then we're up for a ride we haven't seen since T2.

I myself dislikes the third part, and feels that this fourth installment will be a nice reboot for the franchise. I'm not super exicted about the SCC-show either - mostly because it just focuses on the same stuff over and over, in every episode.

But T4 will probably be something different, and new. I like that!

Check out the new cool trailer here.

J. J. Abrams' STAR TREK: new trailer!
This is going to be something really increadible! The lift from old school STAR TREK to super-modern Abrams' storyline will be just awesome.

Obviously, there will be lots of Trekkies that feels that the original Trek is lost - but I feel differently.

On the contrary, I believe J. J. Abrams' STAR TREK will become a wonderful picture, probably with some in-jokes from CLOVERFIELD if we're lucky.

The new trailer (check it out here!) is just great! The funny first teaser trailer was great, but this new one really shows what we're going to get: total coolness!

From the beautiful Earth cities and structures, to the action-packed space fight scenes - this is going to be just great!

Watchmen is coming closer! New trailer out now.
WATCHMEN - one of the best comic books ever made - is heading for relase in March 2009.

A new HOT trailer is out on Apple - check it out!

Swedish Malin Åkerman leads the team in this increadible tale, and what seems to be a frame-by-frame rendering of the graphic novel into live action.

I can't stress this enough: it looks totally increadible. It's just awesome. Wonderful. Beautiful!

If you never read WATCHMEN, then pick up a copy NOW at Amazon - because you SHOULD have read the book before you see the film. Not only because it's great - but also because you will be amazed about the ending - and keep thinking:

Romancing the Stone | Remake in the works!
I actually watched ROMANCING THE STONE again, just a few days ago. And I then thought it would work perfectly for a remake.

It just so happens that FOX is bringing it back! According to the Hollywood Reporter, who also says that former DreamWorks head Daniel McDermoth will write the script to the new installment.

The first ROMANCING... feature was written by Diane Thomas, and her life is a story for a movie itself.

She was working as a waitress when she wrote the first film, and then, just after its release, she died in a car accident. The sequel was not written by her - and not as good either.

Lets hope that the new version is going to be a true classic, just as the first one was! ROMANCING THE STONE was one of the 80's real hit-films, and really provided everything a movie from the happy 1980's should have: Danny deVito, djungles, a girl in distress, a handsome Michael Douglas and lots of bad guys portraited in a black/white fashion. Great stuff!

Cloverfield 2 | Sequel!
So what will happen to the CLOVERFIELD sequel? When will it come out? Will it ever be released?

According to some sources, JJ Abrams said in interviews that the sequel is put on hold, but that the writer (Drew Goddard) and director (Matt Reeves) of the first film has some "pretty good ideas".

Reeves seems to be involved in two other films at the moment though (according to IMDb), but you never know...

Whatever happens, it seems like the first idea with a similar movie filmed from another persons perspective - i.e., the same film but from another angle - is being scrapped.

Well - I believe that idea is great, still - but it would be better to do a series of short films, and release half a dozen of them directly to DVD - and then create 2-3 DVD:s per year. That would be cool!

Anyway, as soon as we hear something more, we'll post it here. Any gossip you want to share? Add a comment!

A good cause!
Just stumbled upon this interesting little gizmo - a website that lets you give money to charity - while shopping!

Yes, it's true. www.aGoodCause.com exists in several countries, including Sweden www.engodsak.se and it works like this:

You download a small piece of program (AidMaker), install it and then go shopping online. The software keeps track of your shopping and gives 75% (!) to a charity of your own choice!

It's very simple, and you can even use it at cool stores as Apple Store, on eBay and even load your Skype account with it.

Start using it today - it's for a Good Cause!

CLOVERFIELD | Rage of the Gods
Well, this blog is NOT going to be about Cloverfield - BUT it will be about entertainment, advertising, new products and a mish-mash of different stuff.

Of course, I WILL put up a lot of information about any Cloverfield sequels and any other cool gossip I hear! I'll tell you all about it...

So, who am I? Well, just say I'm "HUD", who is guiding you through the djungle of stuff that's out there. In this first post I'm going to give you a small review of CLOVERFIELD - the movie we all love!

When I first saw the trailer I thought this was going to be just another monster film. I had recently watched the Korean GWOEMUL (THE HOST, 2006), and I thought Cloverfield would be a bad rehash of that - and combinating Blair Witch at the same time. BAD combination, in my opinion.

Well, I was wrong. Where THE HOST is a wonderful movie, it shows the monster threat in a completely different way. It's not even possible to compare these two films.

CLOVERFIELD goes to extremes when it comes to the epic feel - and that's good! I thought the use of hand-cameras and simple home-cams would limit the feeling of "big" in this film, but actually, it's totally the opposite.

The actors are fairly good, and mainly do good work. The first scenes are a little bit too much "teen drama" and somewhat corny, but it doesn't really matter, since we go for a fast-paced action journey from there.

I simply loved the climbing-in-the-sky-scraper-scene, and I very much liked the ending.

CLOVERFIELD gives you what many other films don't: a feeling that there is more than what was told and that you actually want to know it!

We want to see what happens next, what happened in other cities at the same time, what it really was that was happening, etc. We want to know all these things.

It's a great film, and simply beautiful entertainment. 7/10 from me. More if it hadn't been for some of the digital effects and the somewhat corny start.
